The Neon Museum to Illuminate Inaugural Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023 Sign to Close Out Duck Duck Shed 2026, Oct. 26

Special Ceremony to Celebrate Formula 1 ® in Las Vegas and the Destination’s Growing Sports Legacy

Serving as the grand finale of Duck Duck Shed – The Neon Museum’s annual citywide celebration of Las Vegas history, architecture and design – the moment will bring together culture, speed and spectacle for an unforgettable evening. Against the backdrop of the Museum’s iconic collection of illuminated signs, guests will enjoy a complimentary toast sponsored by Heineken® under the desert sky, get an up-close look at a Formula 1 show car and count down the days to FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2026.

“Following our recent 10-year extension, it’s especially meaningful to see the Las Vegas Grand Prix sign join the Neon Museum’s collection,” said Austin Brown, Vice President of Marketing for Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. “The Museum celebrates the iconic signs that have defined Las Vegas for generations, and we’re honored that our inaugural neon sign will become part of that history. This installation reflects the lasting partnership between Formula 1 and the local community and our shared commitment to the destination’s future.”

The celebration will provide a fitting conclusion to four days of Duck Duck Shed programming, commemorating the city’s rich cultural heritage while celebrating its continued evolution as a world-class sports and entertainment destination.

Aaron Berger, CEO and executive director of The Neon Museum said, “Every piece in our collection tells a story about Las Vegas, and this one represents an exciting chapter in its evolution. The addition of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2023 sign allows us to preserve a significant moment in Las Vegas’ emergence as a global sports and entertainment destination. Unveiling it as the grand finale of Duck Duck Shed honors the innovation that define both our Museum and the city we celebrate.”

Additional Duck Duck Shed events include an exclusive look inside Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ; a presentation on Elvis Presley’s iconic stage wardrobe; a curator-led look at Rhythm and Resilience: History, Art, and Legacy in Black Vegas; a lecture on how design shapes thought and behavior in Las Vegas; a look at seven decades of architectural innovation along the Las Vegas Strip; a conversation with the Las Vegas Madam; the history of Las Vegas magic, a behind-the-scenes look at classic Las Vegas showgirls; and more.

The relighting event will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased here. For more information, visit neonmuseum.org. For the full Duck Duck Shed 2026 lineup and tickets, visit duckduckshed.com.
