Self-guided tours take place during the day (before 5pm) or the evening (until 10pm). The Neon Museum is beautiful day or night! The flexibility of admission times makes it easy to visit with kids of all ages.
In addition to the self-guided tours, there are also guided tours and you can book the Neon Museum for Photo Walks or Portrait Hours if you want to get professional family photos.
In addition to the regular events, the Neon Museum also hosts STEAM Saturdays, a program that offers fun make-and-take activities, hands-on-learning, and demonstrations for children.

Jackpot, a magical audiovisual immersion experience that reanimates 40 monumental examples of The Neon Museum’s iconic vintage signs and transports visitors into the history of Las Vegas through sight and sound. The team at the Neon Museum is very dedicated to preserving an important part of old-school Vegas, not to mention the safety of the visitors. Because of this, there are some rules that you and your family will have to follow.
Take the time to read the rules on the website about what to wear, how to pay, and whether or not you can take photos. Here are some quick things to keep in mind when visiting the museum with kids:
- The Neon Museum is a cashless venue. Guests can use valid debit or credit cards, or mobile wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.
- Personal-use photos are encouraged on cell phones and tablets only. All other cameras, props, outfit-changes, external photo equipment including tripods, lighting, gimbals, selfie sticks, microphones, etc. are prohibited during regular visits.
- Museum-appropriate attire is required. Attire that is not appropriate for The Neon Museum (and which may result in refusal of admittance or ejection) includes, but is not limited to, bathing suits, clothing with objectionable material, or clothing which exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.
- Free parking for guests is located next to The Neon Museum on McWilliams Ave.
5. Remember That You’re Going to Be Outside
Remember that the Museum is an outdoor experience. Ensure that you and your children are dressed appropriately for the sun. Apply sunscreen liberally, and bring clothes that can offer you some shade, such as breathable long-sleeved shirts and wide-brimmed hats.
