FEATURED ARTISTS

Josh Blaney

Josh Blaney’s art captures the past, present, and future of Las Vegas, tracing its transformation from a desert landscape of cacti, wildlife, and prospectors for golden nuggets made way for the power of imagination, money and fantasy. Josh Blaney spends three to four months creating each painting, beginning with extensive research and concept development. Once his vision is refined, he sketches the design on canvas, builds the artwork in layers of acrylic paint, and finishes it with intricate fine-line details.
Josh will bring a mini gallery of his Las Vegas-inspired artwork for guests to play ‘I Spy’ featuring hidden details within his paintings. As a special bonus, attendees can enter a raffle for a chance to win one of Josh’s works, valued at $1,000.

Lightwriters Neon: Explore Bending with Artist Samantha Reed

Samatha is a Chicago based sculptor that uses light to create both abstract and familiar forms. Alongside their passion for bending neon, Samantha is also a neon educator well versed in the history of neon as an experimental craft and as a modern artistic language. Samantha is currently working at Lightwriters Neon, a second-generation, community based neon studio in Chicago. Learn about neon and the design process using blueprints!

Through junk journaling gatherings and local pop-ups, we celebrate analog time, creativity, and the art of making something to hold onto. A junk journal is a handmade book created from recycled or everyday materials like old magazines, maps, scrapbook paper, tickets, drawings, photos, and notes. It’s a creative place to collect memories, ideas, & stories. Make your own Las Vegas inspired journal, answering the prompt: What does home feel like to you?
