STEAM Family Fest: Electric City

Discover the science of electricity and what makes Las Vegas glow, in the past and present.
This event brings hands-on learning to life through scavenger hunts, interactive demonstrations, creative crafts, and more with The Neon Museum staff and community partners. There’s no better place than the Neon Boneyard to explore why Las Vegas is one of the brightest cities on Earth!

Check out these exciting activities:
• Build a simple circuit and see how energy flows.
• Explore the chemistry behind neon lights.
• Try fun experiments showing how electricity powers our city.
• Spend some quiet time in the Library Reading Corner
• Create a glowing craft to take home.
• Enjoy treats and beverages from a local food truck
• See live performances!

Parking

Parking is available next door from The Neon Museum, at Cashman Center. On-site parking is not available. The Neon Museum entrance, off Las Vegas Blvd, will be closed. The only exception are guests who require accessible parking spaces and have the appropriate tag on their vehicle.

 

Directions

If you’re coming north on Las Vegas Blvd, drive past The Neon Museum entrance. Just beyond our entrance, take the next right at Cashman Center to access the overflow parking lot. The turn comes up quickly – there will be signs and staff to guide you.

Important Information:

Thanks to the generous support of Speedway Children’s Charities, library card holders can attend STEAM Family Fest for free! Library cards from the Clark County, North Las Vegas, and Henderson Library Districts can be redeemed for up to four free tickets on the day of the event. Simply present your library card at the door to claim your tickets. Please note that tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
