STEAM Family Fest: Electric City
Discover the science of electricity and what makes Las Vegas glow, in the past and present.
This event brings hands-on learning to life through scavenger hunts, interactive demonstrations, creative crafts, and more with The Neon Museum staff and community partners. There’s no better place than the Neon Boneyard to explore why Las Vegas is one of the brightest cities on Earth!

Neon Boneyard – The Neon Museum Las Vegas
Parking
Parking is available next door from The Neon Museum, at Cashman Center. On-site parking is not available. The Neon Museum entrance, off Las Vegas Blvd, will be closed. The only exception are guests who require accessible parking spaces and have the appropriate tag on their vehicle.
Directions
If you’re coming north on Las Vegas Blvd, drive past The Neon Museum entrance. Just beyond our entrance, take the next right at Cashman Center to access the overflow parking lot. The turn comes up quickly – there will be signs and staff to guide you.

Thanks to the generous support of Speedway Children’s Charities, library card holders can attend STEAM Family Fest for free! Library cards from the Clark County, North Las Vegas, and Henderson Library Districts can be redeemed for up to four free tickets on the day of the event. Simply present your library card at the door to claim your tickets. Please note that tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Their Neon Light Art Activity will be at this event to invite young creators to grab bright markers or pastels and bring bold white lines to life on black paper.
Rivian – Electrical Car Company
One of their electrical vehicles is joining the fun to inspire young explorers with their vision of keeping the world adventurous and sustainable through innovative electric vehicles.
Henderson Libraries
Their outreach team is always on the go, bringing the library and its services straight to you! Their outreach team will bring the magic of Storytime straight to the event, inviting families to gather, listen, and imagine together.
North Las Vegas Library District
They offer educational programs and resources for all ages, supporting lifelong learning and community engagement. Their branches host workshops, storytimes, and hands-on activities, including STEAM and creative projects.
Clark County Las Vegas Library District
Visit the Visit the Library District table to see the STEAM Truck. If you don’t have a library card, you can sign up today and enjoy free access to countless resources, databases and fun activities including park and museum passes.
LUGVegas
The LEGO® Users Group of Southern Nevada, is powering up the event with exciting electric themed LEGO builds that use electricity to create movement and spark curiosity.
CSN Planetarium
The Dale Etheridge Planetarium at CSN is Southern Nevada’s only public planetarium, and the astronomical heart of Las Vegas! Come check out their telescopes and other hands-on artifacts!
Electrician Spotlights: Adam Engle & Ryan
Two skilled and experienced electricians—whose work helps keep the Las Vegas Strip shining bright are joining the event to share the power behind the glow. They spend their days lighting up hotels, attractions, and major city projects, and now they’re bringing that knowledge straight to families.
