The Neon Museum Unveils New Additions to the Neon Boneyard for 2026

Downtown Las Vegas Non-Profit to Welcome Siegfried & Roy Tiger Sculpture, The Mirage Lagoon Sign, Las Vegas Grand Prix Piece and Binion’s Horseshoe

The Neon Museum – the Las Vegas non-profit illuminating the city’s cultural legacy through iconic signage and storytelling – has announced its 2026 lineup of sign relighting and artifact additions. From honoring Siegfried & Roy’s transformative impact on Las Vegas entertainment with the unveiling of the famous tiger sculpture; to relighting The Mirage lagoon and Binion’s Horseshoe signs; and showcasing a Las Vegas Grand Prix piece from 2023, this yearlong series will honor legendary entertainers, landmark resorts and pivotal moments in the city’s evolution.

“In the last five years, we have made it a priority to restore significant pieces in our collection to historically accurate conditions.” said Aaron Berger, Executive Director of The Neon Museum. “This involves a research team dedicated to identifying correct coloring from the age in which the sign was in use, saving as much original tubing, metal work, and, when possible, the electrical components of the sign. The Museum’s goal is to go beyond showcasing a beautiful sign but to give the visitor a chance to experience the sign the way it would have looked at the time it was created. This is living history.”

A look into this year’s additions to The Neon Museum that will live within the Neon Boneyard:

Siegfried & Roy’s Bronze Tiger Sculpture – April 24:

The Neon Museum kicks off its 2026 relighting and artifact addition season with the unveiling of The Mirage’s Siegfried & Roy bronze tiger sculpture, honoring the legacy of two visionaries who forever transformed Las Vegas entertainment. The event will celebrate their groundbreaking careers and lasting cultural impact on the city. Members presale runs Feb. 17–March 1, with tickets available to the public starting March 2.

The Mirage Lagoon Sign – June 5:

The Mirage Hotel & Casino sign that lived within the lagoon will return to life, illuminating a pivotal chapter in the Las Vegas hospitality industry. This extraordinary artifact represents the era-defining resort that reshaped the Strip with its tropical aesthetic and legendary volcano attraction. Members presale runs April 10–23, with public tickets on sale April 24.

FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX Sign – October 23:

Originally displayed within the Paddock building during the inaugural 2023 FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, this sign commemorates the sport’s high-profile arrival in Las Vegas, marking a major moment in the city’s evolution as a global sports and entertainment destination. Members presale runs August 31-September 7, with public on sale September 8.

Binion’s Horseshoe Sign – December 1:

Closing out the year, The Neon Museum will relight the historic Binion’s Horseshoe sign from the 1980s. Installed after Binion’s Horseshoe acquired the Mint Hotel and Casino in 1988, the massive display was part of a redesign collaboration between YESCO and sign designer Rudy Crisostomo – resulting in one of the largest neon signs in the world and a defining symbol of downtown Las Vegas. Members presale runs October 16-22, with public on sale October 23.

Additional details on each sign relighting will be announced throughout the year. For more information, visit neonmuseum.org.

The Neon Museum is open daily and includes an outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, filled with some of Las Vegas’ most iconic neon signs; the North Gallery, home to the immersive audiovisual experience “Brilliant! Jackpot” which uses technology to re-illuminate more than 40 non- operational signs; the Boulevard Gallery outdoor exhibit and event space; and its visitors’ center inside the former La Concha Motel lobby.
