
Jeff Tackett

Director of Collections and Exhibitions
With over 20 years’ experience in the museum and exhibitions field, Jeff Tackett joined the Neon Museum in January 2025 as Director of Collections and Exhibitions. Jeff’s background includes exhibition and environmental design, didactics, wayfinding, and extensive brand and marketing creation.
Prior to joining team the Museum, Jeff worked 11 years at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art as a Senior Experiential Designer. In this role he created multiple exhibitions of all sizes and complexities, with an emphasis on public engagement and interpretive materials. At the Mid-America Arts Alliance, Jeff designed and managed two national traveling exhibition programs – one as an extension of the National Endowment for Humanities. Jeff has also worked with contemporary art and artists at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art as well as the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Jeff has an M.F.A from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with an emphasis in fine art and art history, and a B.F.A. from the University of Central Missouri.
New to Las Vegas, outside of work you might catch Jeff with a pickleball paddle, bowling ball, or a tray of his award-winning deviled eggs.
