Mike Dini
Director of Communications and Marketing
Mike Dini is a visionary senior marketing leader with a history of success in shaping the brands of hospitality and gaming companies, manufacturing operations, and live entertainment experiences. Mike has led teams in both the public and private sectors and most recently was instrumental in building a brand and personality for downtown Las Vegas’ first new resort operation in more than 40 years, which opened in 2020.
Mike studied journalism and public relations at the University of Nevada, Reno, with a focus on the Spanish language, anticipating a career as a foreign correspondent. He instead ultimately chose a marketing and communications path. The broad training and work experience gained at his family’s gaming operation in Northern Nevada helped shape his expertise in building teams to be leaders in customer experiences and service.
Mike resides in North Las Vegas with his husband Rob Peters. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and his desert garden, cited as “in the top one percent of landscaped spaces in Las Vegas” by renowned horticulturalist Norm Schilling.
He frequently reminds others that he shares a patent for a “gaming machine having bonus game” issued in 2003. However, Mike says his most cherished accolade is winning the first-ever local “Fruitcake Bakeoff” in 1994, which obliges him to defend the oft-maligned holiday confection into perpetuity.
