What is STEAM learning? STEAM learning is an education strategy that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math to encourage inquiry, discussion and problem-solving.

June 22nd, 2024: Lights, Camera, Action
Come to the Neon Boneyard and learn about animation and the science behind lights, film, and stop motion! Learn about animated signs in The Neon Museum collection, create flipbooks and thaumatropes, and make your own stop-motion animated movie!
Elizabeth Allen Berry, a local poet, who will lead a zine-making activity, creating mini self-published magazines. Participants will envision themselves on stage performing, creating short publications using clippings, illustrations, and writing to celebrate their uniqueness. This activity aims to empower students to share untold stories, embrace pride, and foster a sense of belonging.
STEAM Saturdays is sponsored by Meow Wolf, Cox Charities, and the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the state of Nevada.
